Who we are
This website, scepter.uk, is run by Edward O'Keefe, 3610 Wingren Dr, Irving, Texas 75062, United States ("we", "us"). We are the controller of personal data described here. Contact: hello@scepter.uk.
What we collect
- Technical data when you visit. Our host, Cloudflare, processes your IP address and basic request details (browser, page requested, time) to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. We do not use this to identify you.
- Analytics, only if you accept. If you click Accept on the cookie banner we use Google Analytics to count visits: pages viewed, approximate location (city or country level), device and browser type, and how you arrived. If you reject, or ignore the banner, Google Analytics does not load.
- Emails you send us. If you email hello@scepter.uk we receive your email address, your message and anything you include, so that we can reply.
We do not run accounts or take payments on this site at present. If that changes we will update this policy first.
Why we use it, and our legal basis
- Running and securing the site: our legitimate interests.
- Analytics cookies: your consent. You can withdraw it at any time with Cookie settings.
- Replying to your emails: our legitimate interests in answering your enquiry.
Who receives it
Cloudflare, Inc. (hosting, security and email forwarding) and, if you accept analytics, Google LLC / Google Ireland Limited (Google Analytics). They act on our behalf. Some of this processing happens outside the UK, including in the United States, under the safeguards those providers publish (such as the UK extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses). We do not sell your data.
How long we keep it
Google Analytics data is kept for 14 months and then deleted automatically. Emails are kept for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and for up to 2 years afterwards. Cloudflare keeps its own short-lived security logs.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct or delete it, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to withdraw consent at any time. Email hello@scepter.uk and we will reply within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we handle your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office: ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint, telephone 0303 123 1113.
